It's been a while......

It's been quite some time since my last post. There's been a lot going on with us the past couple of weeks. I won't go into detail, but remember Me, Mike and the family in your prayers.

So.....I took Jenna for her 2 month checkup yesterday. She weighs 10 lbs. 10 ounces and is 22 1/4 inches long. She is getting sooo big, it seems like only yesterday that she was born.

I got a little picture happy today. She was so cute I couldn't help it. Hope everyone enjoys looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them!!!!!!!

FALL CREEK FALLS

This weekend, Mike and I decided to take a little trip down to Tennessee to a place called Fall Creek Falls. It's a state park located in Spencer TN. It was out in the boonies, we didn't even have cell phone reception. We had a wonderful time and the weather was perfect. Check out some of the cool pics we got.

3 Years.......

Well, today is March the fourth. Three years ago today at 2:30 pm, at First Baptist Church, I married the man I love. It seems like a lifetime already that we've been together. I can only imagine what it will be like 25 or even 50 years from now..........Will we still get on each others nerves at times? Will Mike say and do things just because he knows it will get me fired up to run my mouth, all the while he's laughing behind me? Will our ideal of a date be going out to eat at Pizza Hut or Taco Bell and then maybe run by Wal-Mart to check out the "New Release" section of the movies?

As for looks......Mike will probably be bald, as he's almost to that point now. lol. And who knows how I will look---perhaps no hair too (from pulling it out).

So far my marriage has been a dream come true. Sure we've had our moments of arguing and disagreeing, sadness and even heartbreak, but we have also had moments together that are unforgetably happy and exciting.

Mike is a loving, caring person in his own ways. When my pappy died, Mike was by my side the whole time to comfort me and embrace me. When I lost a baby, he helped me to understand why it happened, and when our first home together burnt down, he reminded me that we still had each other...........

And those unforgetable moments: I gave my life over to God and Mike rededicated. My dad baptised us together. We experienced nervouseness when we first found out we would become parents, and overjoy when Jenna finally arrived, Healthy and Beautiful.

There is so much more I could say, but I don't want to bore anyone.

If the next years are comparable to the three we've shared so far, I can't wait.

ONE MONTH OLD!!!

Well, Saturday Jenna will be one month old. I can't believe it. She is doing very well, eating and sleeping great. Today we tried something new. I gave Jenna a little taste of rice cereal and believe it or not, she loved it. I couldn't feed it to her fast enough.

Also, a couple days ago we went to grandma's house and had a little visitor. It was almost like a play date. Cousin Ellie was there, and my great aunt Shirley brought over cousin Isabella Faye. Isabella was so sweet and helpful. She would bring the baby her passy and bottle, and also brought all kinds of toys to Ellie. She is so sweet and very cute. I don't think she knew exactly what to think about baby Jenna though. I took some pictures of them. I will post when I get a chance.

Here are a couple of newborn pictures that Laurie Keen tokk on Sunday. They are beautiful!!!

Today I took Jenna to the doctor for her 2 week check up. She is growing so fast. She already weighs 8 lbs. The doctor said she is perfect. It doesn't seem like she should already be almost 3 weeks old. Time flies so fast.

Today we took a trip out to Sugar Grove to Laurie Keens house to get pictures made. Laurie does such a great job, and is very patient. We all had a great time, we laughed so much....
So, the first setting of pics was family pictures. Jenna started to get fussy, so we thought she must have a bad diaper. When I changed her, she had messed a little bit, but just before I could get the clean diaper on she started peeing all over the place. It went all over her clothes.....so Mike got to hold her with pee all over her. After that I changed her and fed her, and she was the BEST baby you could ask for. She stayed awake for all of her shots. The last picture was going to be of her naked butt, and guess what......when I went to jerk the diaper off it was full of you know what. It could have went all over me, but thank God it didn't. That would have been bad. So, I will put some of those pictures up here when I get them.

Just wanted to let everyone see some pics of our baby girl Jenna!

BABY JENNA IS HERE!!!

Well, she is finally here, and just perfect.
Jenna Ellise Brooks was born on Wednsday January 21 at 1:13 pm. She weighed 6 lbs. 13.5 ounces, and was 20 inches long. She has a head full of hair that is brownish red.
We took her to the doctor on Monday, and she already weighs 6 lbs 15 ounces, so she is growing. I havent gotten any pictures dowloaded yey, but I will post them asap.

The time has almost came. I stayed at the hospital Sunday night for a bout three hours. My contractions were 6 mins. apart, but suprisingly it didnt hurt that much. They had me to get up and walk though. My contractoins never got any closer together, but they did get stronger and last longer. So, I got sent home with orders to return if they got to be 3-5 mins. apart. We are still waiting......

Hello to everyone! I am new to this blogging thing, but I decided to try it anyway. I'm not sure how well I can keep it updated, but I'll give it a try.

So as some of you already know, Mike and I are going to be parents soon!!! We are vey excited and nervous as well. As of Thursday, January 15th, I was dialted to 3.5 and was 80% effaced. I guess this means it could be anytime now. I go back on the 22nd though, if baby Jenna has not entered the world by then. The doctor said if she hasn't arrived by then, she will induce me. She thinks the baby might be too big if I go to my due date. 2 weeks ago she estimated the weight to be 7+ pounds, so I don't know what she will weigh, I just hope it does not hurt. I guess that's just wishfull thinking. LOL
I'll try to keep everyone posted.
